Dr. Josh Miller — Artistic Director
Dr. Josh Miller has served as an assistant director at ZACH Theatre (Les Misérables), Austin Shakespeare (Sunday in the Park with George), The Glimmerglass Festival, Wolf Trap Opera, Fort Worth Opera Festival and Austin Opera. Josh's most recent directing credits include The Marriage of Figaro (University of Texas at Austin), a double-bill of The Italian Lesson & Trouble in Tahiti (Opera Piccola of San Antonio), Sweeney Todd (UT Austin), Little Women (Spotlight on Opera), and The Magic Flute (Concord University). His production of Jake Heggie's Three Decembers was chosen as a winner of Opera America’s 2015 Robert L.B. Tobin Director-Designer Showcase. Josh is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin where he received a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the Butler School of Music as well as a Graduate Portfolio in Arts Administration through LBJ School of Public Affairs. When he isn’t working Josh enjoys baking, visiting museums, listening to NPR and cuddling with his pug, Charlie.

Alexandra Russo — Assistant Artistic Director
Alexandra has been acting, dancing, singing, and playing music her whole life. She received several scholarships for acting and graduated with her degree in Theatre and Dance from the University of Texas. She has performed on many Austin stages over the years, and loves seeing children light up at ASMC shows. Although Alexandra loves performing, her passion lies in using the Arts as a spring board for community building and education, and believes every child should have the chance to experience and learn through Art education. Current volunteer jobs include Meals on Wheels and Mobile Loaves and Fishes as well as volunteering at maternity homes and girls homes. In her day life, Alexandra is a full time foster mom.

Nikki Birdsong — Music Director/Band Leader
Nikki is delighted to be involved in her first production with ASMC. An active chamber musician and coach, she has most recently served as musical director with Once Ounce Opera (Thyrsis and Amaranth, A Miller's Tale); she is a founding member of Ensemble Cameranze, a chamber group devoted to music of the Romantic era, and is an accompanist with the children's theater group KidsActing. Nikki was featured in several episodes of KMFA's newest show, ICONS of Broadway with Mela Dailey, is a frequent collaborator with PKWproductions, and can be heard on the Viola by Choice album Florilegium. She has performed with members of Austin Symphony, Conspirare, Austin Opera chorus, and the Texas Guitar Quartet. She especially enjoys performing new music, and her premieres include works by P. Kellach Waddle, Donald Grantham, David Heyes, and Steven Serpa.

Lauris Blackwell — Choreographer
Lauris is thrilled to work with the talented people in ASMC again! She has been teaching or performing in theatre in New York and now Texas for over thirty years. When not choreographing or performing, she teaches at Shirley McPhail School of Dance and for Hillcrest Baptist Church, Mother’s Day Out Program. She is also the Social Coordinator for ASMC/. She enjoys singing, dancing, reading and spending time with her family.

Chelsea Hockaday — Costumer
Chelsea Beth is excited to exhibit her work in Austin Summer Musical for Children's Big Bad Musical. She has been in Austin for three years working primarily as a performer but also finds great fulfillment in costume design and scenic artistry. Her most recent costume work was City Theatre's Bus Stop and she was seamstress for King Lear. Prior to Austin, Chelsea studied at Centenary College of Louisiana. During summers, she designed for summer stock in Indiana doing shows like Spelling Bee, I'm Just Wild About Harry, and A Year with Frog and Toad among others. She is very grateful for this opportunity. You can catch her next design in Little Shop of Horrors at City Theatre in August.

Jennifer Dormer — Stage Manager
Jennifer has been with ASMC since 2003. She has been on stage as a sheep, off stage as an usher, back stage as crew, assistant stage manager and this will be her sixth year as stage manager. She is employed by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services as a Manager III. She is also President-Elect for the Executive Women in Texas Government and is the current Treasurer for ASMC. When she is not working, volunteering, or running her child around, she enjoys spending quiet time with her 2 children Kevin and Emily.
Jennifer Dormer
John "AJ" Dormer — Technical Manager
John has worked with ASMC since 2001 in roles from fly-rail counterweight to Stage Manager, so John is very happy for the opportunity to work with the company in this upgraded capacity. The show's lighting is also his responsibility. Other recent theatrical work includes live sound engineering and costume design. John works as an IT professional at Nokia.

Domingo Bracamontez — Sound Technician
Domingo has been a volunteer with ASMC since 2002. From making thousands of Magic Wands that first year to helping with Script, Props, Gala and now Sound Tech. Domingo is always ready to lend a helping hand when needed. When he is not running errands or building props for his wife Terry he takes on the challenging role of “Pa Pa Daycare” for his newest grandchild – Kayden.

Terry Bracamontez — Props Manager
For someone that has Two Left Feet and Absolutely No Acting Skills, Terry’s been part of ASMC since 2002 and has been on the Board of Directors since 2003. She has volunteered on the Script, Fundraising and Program committees. Terry also assembles Props and Sets and acts as Stage Crew. When she is not volunteering Terry is a Preschool Teacher at Abacus in Leander. She loves working with children and helping them explore the wonderful world around them.
